New! School of Design Student Newsletter
The Westwood Online AIGA Group is pleased to announce the decision to launch an online design newsletter! The first issue will be distributed during the beginning of the October term by email to student accounts. Past issues will be accessed and downloaded from eCollege and the group site:

The newsletter (which will be sent out every term) will feature interviews from industry professionals, tips, industry product information, testimonials from successful graduating students in the field, a showcase of student work portfolios, and much more!
Best of all, this newsletter is being designed for you and by you, WOL School of Design Students! Current AIGA Westwood Group members are getting the early announcement so you can begin your creative process. We will be hosting two contests for the newsletter:
1. Name The Newsletter Contest - Create the name for our newsletter. Submission deadline is September 7, 2008.
2. Design Newsletter Layout Contest - Once you come up with a name for the group email newsletter create an original layout based on the name! Physical size needs to be 8.5x11, and distribution will be as a PDF document. Submission deadline is September 28, 2008.
All entry submissions (limit one per contest) need to be emailed to David Vaughan (dvaughan@westwood.edu) with the subject line that fits the contest you are entering: Newsletter Name or Newsletter Layout. All entries must be original and professionally appropriate for contest consideration. An independent panel will vote on the winning name and design layout. This is a great way to gain experience and add to your resume & portfolio. We hope you actively participate!
Winners selected will receive a Best Buy gift card - $25 for the name, $100 for the design.
